Chili Cookoff

This Sunday at Green Room Brewing in Jax Beach, make plans to attend the 5th Annual Charity Chili Cook Off! All money raised from sales and donations will benefit Friends Of Jacksonville Animals - a local nonprofit that helps sheltered animals with medical costs and reducing euthanasia. The cook off is from noon-5pm and tickets include access to sample chili from all the contestants & a free craft beer!

Wolfson’s Children’s Challenge 

There's less than 2 weeks to join this year's virtual Wolfson Children's Challenge - A major fundraiser for Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, Northeast Florida's only full-service children's hospital. The annual event features fitness challenges & races for runners of all skill levels, fundraising opportunities, and the inspiring stories of 55 Wolfson Children's patients! Whether you're active in your backyard, down the street, on a treadmill or anywhere safe, there's a way to participate and help make a difference in our community.

Jekyll Island Treasure Globe Hunt 

Jekyll Island hand-picks artists from across the country to create one-of-a-kind glass floats for its annual Island Treasures event. The glass floats are part of a hide-and-seek style game played on Jekyll Island throughout January and February. Gather your friends and family to search for globes that can be exchanged for dazzling handcrafted glass floats.

2021 Amelia Island Restaurant Week

Explore Alejandro Garces Camp Tomahawk Park

Alejandro Garces Camp Tomahawk Park is located just north of San Clerc Road, between the San Jose and Beauclerc sections of southeast Jacksonville. If you like to run or walk this is the spot for you- there are nature trails running thru the park including a beautiful one-mile shady loop.

Explore Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park 

In the midst of North Florida’s sandy terrain and pine forests is a bowl-shaped cavity 120 feet deep and 500 feet across, the Devil’s Millhopper. Small streams trickle down the steep slopes of the limestone sinkhole, disappearing through crevices in the ground. A half-mile nature trail follows the rim, and a 232-step stairway descends to the bottom of the sink. Guided tours and picnic tables are available.
