The time of year we have all been waiting for! The regions most spectacular holiday spectacle will take place every evening from November 14 to January 31! St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights features millions of tiny white lights that create a magical atmosphere in the Nation’s Oldest City, and it’s free of charge.
This Friday is the sjriverkeeper’s annual oyster roast & concert! This year, the event is going drive-in movie style featuring a concert & catered food experience from Biscottis including delicious oysters, seafood, beverages & more delivered directly to your vehicle! Music lineup includes performances by RickoLus and Fire Water Tent Revival. Attendees are allowed to bring lawn chairs and lounges to enjoy dinner & music under the stars. Enjoy from 7 – 10 pm.

Drink, eat, and listen to music for a good cause! This Saturday at Hyperion Brewing Company from 12 -10 pm, for an afternoon of live, local music, 50/50 raffles, food and local craft beer all while supporting Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR). Capacity is limited, the music portion of the event will also be held via live stream on Facebook with a link for donations to SPAR for everyone to be able to enjoy the event without having to physically be at Hyperion or if capacity doesn’t allow it.
This month, make it a point to come downtown and check out Jax’s beautiful Riverwalk!
The Northbank Riverwalk features a 2+ mile lighted path with lots of beautiful trees, sculptures, benches, an outdoor gym, scenic overlooks, a train crossing & more! The wide path is perfect for running, walking, biking and exploring. It also connects Riverside at the Riverside Arts Market to downtown Jacksonville all the way to the shipyards and Bay St.
You can also cross the Acosta or Main St Bridge to access the 1.2 mile Southbank Riverwalk. The Southbank Riverwalk features semiconductor views of downtown Jax along with several sculptures, green spaces, a mural, and several restaurants within walking distance. It meanders it’s way along the river and underneath the Main St Bridge from Friendship Fountain & MOSH all the way to the School Board Building, Chart House and Broadstone River House.
In the coming months, a new pedestrian walkway will be completed that will span alongside the Fuller Warren Bridge. This new project will connect San Marco and the Southbank to Riverside and the Northbank Riverwalk!
