This week brings lots of fun events including sports,concerts, and more! You can even watch professional bull riders at the PBR: Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour. It is the last week to see night of lights so definitely check that out before it is over. Be sure to plan ahead(there are a lot of festivals coming up) and other things to check out!

Dwight Yoakam

When: 1/28 at 8PM

Where: Florida Theatre

Randy Rainbow

Where: Florida Theatre

America’s favorite musical satirist, Randy Rainbow, is taking his act on the road! On The Pink Glasses Tour, the two-time Emmy-nominated singer, writer, and comedian will take on the hottest topics and skewer politicos of the day as only he can, as he brings his most viral video song parodies to life onstage.

Mozart’s Defiance: Piano Concerto No. 24

When: 1/28 and 1/29 at 7:30PM

The New York Times said, “Conrad Tao was never just another prodigy.” This young phenom is certain to bring new life and ideas to Mozart’s C minor Concerto, a piece so outside the conventions of the day that more than a few Viennese eyebrows were certainly raised at its 1786 premiere. Courtney Lewis notches another Sibelius symphony en route to a complete cycle with the Finnish composer’s First Symphony, a work with traces of Tchaikovsky yet distinct with Sibelius’ voice.

First Coast Color Run

Let your true colors shine for The First Coast Color Run 5k Race - Winter Edition! 

This race will be 5k ( 3.1 mile race ) event, you can run it as an individual or as a team. The race will take place in the very scenic RiverTown community in Saint Johns County 

This race is being timed by Florida Race Day which posts live results, has results kiosks, water station, music. free finisher photos and more

Jacksonville Boat Show

Where: The Prime Osborn Center

​Come join the North Florida Marine Association at the 74th Annual Boat Show! There will be plenty of boats on display along with vendors to check out.  First Wednesday Art Walk

Downtown Vision has proudly hosted the First Wednesday Art Walk since 2003 to welcome people to DTJax and celebrate the community’s deep pool of creative talent.  

Art Walk has returned after a break due to the pandemic and now takes place monthly! We invite you to bring your family, friends and coworkers for a self-guided tour of Downtown’s northbank core on the first Wednesday of every month. Explore three major hubs: James Weldon Johnson Park, The Jessie (duPont Center) and Vagabond Flea at The Breezeway at Vystar Tower, and all the businesses and public art between. Art Walk runs 5-9 p.m., rain or shine. Masks encouraged.

 

AN EVENING WITH DREW & ELLIE HOLCOMB: THE YOU & ME TOUR

Drew and Ellie Holcomb are a husband and wife Americana duo from Nashville, TN. Shortly after their marriage in 2006, the couple began touring together with Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. The band has supported many national touring acts including, The Avett Brothers, NEEDTOBREATHE, Don Henley, and Willie Nelson.

Ellie is no longer a touring member of “The Neighbors,” and has found success in a solo career as a Christian singer/songwriter, winning two Dove Awards and topping the Billboard charts. Her most recent album, CANYON, was released in June of 2021 to much fanfare.

Chasing Tail 5k & Forever Vets Fun Run

Join Kanine Social on February 12th for a doggone good time!  Kanine Social is excited to bring you the inaugural Chasing Tail 5K and Forever Vets Fun Run, supporting the Jacksonville Humane Society. Fang from the Jacksonville Icemen will be pacing along for the 1-mile fun run! This is a dog friendly run, so bring your dog to run or walk with you or let your dog hangout at Kanine Social’s private dog park with a friend while you race.

The courses will start and finish at Kanine Social and the 5K will consist of 2 loops.
