Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens Open Back Up

The Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens has opened back up but with new guidelines. In order to ensure the safety of staff and guests they have made modifications in alignment with health recommendations.

  • They are limiting the number of guests each day to maintain appropriate physical distancing.
  • Only groups of 10 or less are allowed.
  • Must purchase tickets online.
  • Tickets only valid for date and time specified and will be checked at parking lot entrance.
  • No early entrance and no refunds.
  • Only credit and debit cards accepted for any and all purchases.

Members

All members need a reservation to access the Zoo and Gardens during our re-opening. Reservation are free for members. They will be valid for one of the available daily time slots. Your membership card and timed ticket reservation will be checked on entry.

A digital confirmation and timed tickets will be emailed. Please bring your printed or digital ticket upon entry. On our official re-open date of May 9, members may visit the Zoo by reserving tickets for designated available times. As a member benefit, we have dedicated a Members-Only time from 8am-11am!

Non-Members

Non-Members can purchase timed tickets for each member of their party for a designated time below. A digital confirmation and timed tickets will be emailed. Please bring your printed or digital ticket upon entry.

  • 11:30-2:30pm
  • 3pm-6pm

Guidelines

  • All guests are encouraged to wear masks.
  • Please maintain physical distancing of 6 feet between each party.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the path.
  • Hand washing stations are available in designated areas.
  • As recommeneded by the CDC, if you feel sick, please stay home.
  • Restrooms will be monitored by an attendant for controlled access.
  • Please respect all directional signage.
  • The entrance through the Zoo and out of the Zoo is a one-way path.
  • When spending time at an exhibit, please respect physical distancing guidelines.

Food & Beverages

To-Go meals are available at:

Trout River Grill from 9:30am-6pm

Main Camp Cafe from 7:45am-4pm

 

Ice Cream and Sweets will be available at:

Sweet Shop from 9:30am-6pm

 

Alcohol will be available from Outdoor Bar located at Trout River Plaza

Indoor seating will not be available. Outdoor seating is available near Trout River Grill, on the Great Lawn, and within Riverview Gardens (previously known as Butterfly Hollow).

Attractions 

ALL tickets will include access to Dinosauria!

Keeper Talks, Training Demonstrations, All Indoor Animal Exhibits, 4D Theater, Train, Carousel, Campground Critters, and Splash Ground and Play Ground will be closed for the safety of our guests.

The Gift Shops are closed, however we have items available at three mobile kiosks located around grounds.

 

This is a temporary modification to operations to allow guests to enjoy the Zoo. The Zoo is looking forward to returning to regular operations.
