After many weeks Sun Ray Cinemas in Historic 5 Points has finally found the perfect spot for their first Pop-Up Drive-In at the Callahan Speedway. "It's really REALLY tough to find an open space in this area without any ambient light to interfere with the picture and the lovely folks at the Callahan Speedway have the perfect spot, have kindly opened up their field (and bathrooms) for this two night only event." said staff from Sun Ray Cinema. In addition, AVL Productions will be providing the big sound (via your fm radio) and the motion pictures will be projected onto a 32 foot wide screen.

Gates at 6:30p.m and the show starts at 7:30p.m.

May 29th Smokey and the Bandit
May 30th Mad Max: Fury Road

WHAT TO EXPECT
No cash sales, tickets must be purchased online. Bring proof of purchase of tickets to show when you arrive.

You will be directed to a parking spot when you arrive. As per our usual moviegoing standards, Sun-Ray is working with AVL Productions to provide the biggest, brightest picture and best sound available so there won’t be a lousy view on the site; please plan to cooperate with parking attendants and take the spot you’re directed to.

Restrooms will be available if needed; up to date CDC guidelines regarding distancing and hygiene will be expected and enforced.

Make sure you know how to turn off all exterior lights on your vehicle. They cannot be on during the show.

Cars will be spaced to avoid this exciting community event serving as a vector for disease spread. Gathering outside of cars will not be allowed.

Feel free to bring your own snacks. As guidelines around public gatherings are relaxed we hope to introduce concession sales in the coming months but for these first shows it’s all BYO.

Failure to follow these guidelines or any other directions given by Callahan Speedway or Sun-Ray Cinema staff may result in your party being asked to leave without a refund
