Betty Steflik Memorial Preserve is located in Flagler Beach, about an hour south of Jacksonville. The Preserve with its 320 acres offers visitors a unique and beautiful view of the salt marsh, maritime hammock and black mangrove thru its trails and boardwalk. The main trail is a total of 1.8 miles round-trip.

While there, you can catch a glimpse of gopher tortoises sunbathing or even spot some wild parrots flying high above the trees. A stroll along the boardwalk provides a close-up view of everything living in the coastal community including wading and migratory birds.

Bring your fishing pole because the pier is the perfect spot to cast a line. The Moody Boat Launch links into the Intracoastal Waterway so grab your kayaks and paddleboards. The preserve is a great place to picnic with family and friends. Leashed dogs are welcome.
