This week has events for everybody! Food lovers should check out National Pizza Day. Theres the Chasing Tail 5k & Forever Vets Fun Run(dogs included) or the Cupid’s Undie Run! There are many markets happening where you can shop local. It is almost Super Bowl Sunday which means you've gotta make plans for the big game. The Icemen and UNF Basketball will be playing games this week as well. Celebrate your special someone or gal pals and show them how much you care. Check out the concerts and shows happening this week, which isn't a bad idea with this colder weather. Women’s Wellness Fest

When: 2/12

Ladies, grab your yoga mat and reusable water bottle and head to Seawalk Pavillion for a full day of wellness! A day of classes, shopping, and a gourmet lunch, you’ll love practicing meditation, yoga, Pilates, and listening to speakers with topics like how to live your life with intention alongside 300 other women! Feel empowered, supported and connected in this fun, no-judgement zone that requires zero experience, just an open mind!

Hogan’s Creek Fest

Where: Klutho Park

Groundwork Jacksonville invites the community to spend an afternoon in beautiful Klutho Park for Hogans Creek Fest! The event will include music, free food, family activities, demonstrations from area nonprofits and the chance to see preliminary plans for the Hogans Creek restoration.

Chasing Tail 5k & Forever Vets Fun Run

When: 2/12

Join Kanine Social on February 12th for a doggone good time!  Kanine Social is excited to bring you the inaugural Chasing Tail 5K and Forever Vets Fun Run, supporting the Jacksonville Humane Society. Fang from the Jacksonville Icemen will be pacing along for the 1-mile fun run! This is a dog friendly run, so bring your dog to run or walk with you or let your dog hangout at Kanine Social’s private dog park with a friend while you race.

The courses will start and finish at Kanine Social and the 5K will consist of 2 loops.

 Cupid’s Undie Run!

Where: Lynch’s Irish Pub

Get ready for the cheekiest way to don your knickers in public- the Cupid’s Undie Run!

Head to Lynch’s Irish Pub to kick off the event with a party, followed by a “brief” run- literally! Once the run is done- back to partying! 

This fun run benefits those affected by NF, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and affects 1 in every 3,000 births.

Lift Every Voice and Sing at JWJ Park

Where: James Welson Johnson Park

Join Historic Stanton at James Weldon Johnson Park for the 122nd anniversary celebration of James Weldon Johnson’s song Lift Every Voice and Sing. A presentation will be held from 11:30am to 12:15pm, culminating in the group singing of Lift Every Voice and Sing at 12:15pm. Stick around afterwards for music and a block party featuring local vendors, the Nan NkamaPan-African Drum and Dance Ensemble, live music, and more!

Discover Fort Mose: Jazz and Blues Series

Where:  15 Fort Mose Trail

In the course of two weekends, from February 18-26, 2022, world-class artists like Tank & The Bangas and Gregory Porter will grace our stages to celebrate these two incredible genres of music at Fort Mose Historic State Park. Proceeds from this event will support construction of an on-site fort representation and development of interpretive resources. The original fort was destroyed during the Battle of Bloody Mose in 1740.

Beethoven to Brahms
