WDs One Year Anniversary Celebration

WDs Wine, Beer & Liquor is celebrating its one-year anniversary over the long Labor Day weekend and invites its Miramar neighbors and visitors to take part in the free festivities held at the store, located in the Miramar Center shopping plaza at 4472 Hendricks Ave. in Jacksonville!

The free celebration begins on Thursday, Sept. 1 and continues through Sunday, Sept. 4. Each day, the first 20 customers to arrive when the store opens will receive giveaways including a free reusable wine bag, a bamboo paddle flight board with wine or beer glasses and coupons for additional savings (while supplies last). WDs will also host free wine, beer and spirit tastings, specialty cheese tastings with recommended pairings, prize wheel giveaways, live entertainment by DJ EL (Friday - Sunday) and custom bottle engravings and labels.

On Thursday, Sept. 1 at noon, customers can also enjoy a "Lunch and Learn" with Anheuser-Busch Brewmaster Jeff Jenkins and a charcuterie board and mixology class on Saturday, Sept. 2 at noon.

Thursday, Sept. 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tastings of Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé, Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Champagne and Glenmorangie Lasanta 12-year-old whisky.
Specialty cheese tastings including Castillo Gouda from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and BelGioioso Mozzarella, Blue Cheese and Parmesan varieties from 1 – 5 p.m. with recommended wine and beer pairings.
Jorge Ordóñez Spanish wine tasting from 3 – 6 p.m.
Lunch & Learn with Anheuser-Busch Jacksonville Brewmaster Jeff Jenkins from noon – 3 p.m.
Bottle engravings and custom labels from Jefferson’s Bourbon and Rabbit Hole.

Friday, Sept. 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tastings of Olmeca Altos Tequila, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé, Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Champagne, Glenmorangie Lasanta, White Claw Hard Seltzer REFRSHR, Yuengling, Veterans United Craft Brewery, Jose Cuervo and 1800 Ready-Mix cocktails and Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine.
California wine tasting featuring Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Conn Creek Winery, Antica and The Duckhorn Group.
Bottle engravings and custom labels with Jameson Irish Whiskey from 4 – 7 p.m., Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey from 5 – 7 p.m. and Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Specialty cheese tastings including SE Grocers Manchego, GFI Blueberry and Goat from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Old Croc Cheddar varieties from 3 – 6 p.m. with recommended wine and beer pairings.

Saturday, Sept. 3 from Noon to 4 p.m.

Bottle engravings and custom labels with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey from 1 – 3 p.m.
Specialty cheese tastings with recommended wine and beer pairings including:
- Yancey’s Fancy Gouda, Cheddar and Havarti SE from 9 a.m. – noon
- Kerrygold Grass-fed varieties from noon – 3 p.m.
