JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Sharks have added three more players ahead of their inaugural 2024 IFL season: Marquis McClain WR (6'2, 215 lbs) from Auburn University, Ulric Jones DL (6'7, 300 lbs) from the University of South Carolina, and William Eoff OL (6'6, 300 lbs) out of Fort Lewis College.
Before attending Training Camp for the New York Jets, Marquis McClain was an Auburn Tiger. During Auburn's 2019 season, he played in 10 games, one in which he caught a 37-yard pass against Samford. In 2018, McClain played in every game as a reserve wide receiver. As a redshirt freshman (2017), he caught a 37-yard pass against Georgia and a 10- yard pass against the UCF Knights in the Peach Bowl. McClain is a speedy receiver with excellent hands. He attended Crestview High School and was ranked a top 75 receiver by Scout, Rivals, and 247 Sports. McClain also lettered in sprints and jumps.
Ulric Jones is a 6'7 powerhouse. As a fifth year senior at the University of South Carolina, he played in all 13 games and is credited for 29 tackles including a sack, two passes defended and one tackle for a loss. After college, Jones spent some time with NFL teams including the Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers. He then went on to play for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) league and the XFL's St. Louis Battlehawks. Jones also spent time with the Columbus Lions where he finished the season ranked as the National Arena League's (NAL) number one defensive lineman. Jones was picked up by the Northern Arizona Wranglers for the 2022 season where he tallied 59 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He spent 2023 with the Arizona Rattlers before joining the Jacksonville Sharks for the 2024 season. Jones brings a lot of experience to Jacksonville.
Offensive lineman William Eoff stands at 6'6 with the ability to fight off defenders. Eoff played college football for the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks.
