Jacksonville Fl - On Friday the 13th at Mavericks, many people attended Josh Thompson’s concert. This artist is known for his hit songs “Beer On the Table”, “Way Out Here”, and “Coming Around”. This artist has some very catchy songs, but some are also repetitive.  Before this artist went on to perform, Stephen Carey opened up for Josh.  This was the first time I had heard of him or his music. His music is a country rock sound. When he came out to perform, his opening had a little bit of “Friday the 13th” intro since it was Friday the 13th. Listening to him perform was really cool, I thought this guy was a good choice to open up the concert at Mavericks.

Once Stephen Carey finished up, the crowd was excited and waiting for the concert to start. The crowd was excited to see Josh Thompson perform. I thought his performance was good and brought in the crowds who like to drink and party. Josh also performed a new song called “Cold Beer With Your Name On It”, for an upcoming album that he is working on. I think this guy writes a lot of songs that fit many Honky Tonks and Dive bars. Josh Thompson hasn’t gotten much radio airplay in a while; his last album came out in 2010. But hopefully this new single of his gets a lot of radio airplay and requests from the radio stations. Near the end, he performed his fan favorites “Way Out Here” and concluded his show with “Beer On The Table”. He came back out for an encore performance and played another new song called “Drink, Drink, Drink”.

Josh Thompson is a great singer and performer. This guy can perform some good country songs that involve drinking and partying. He does have some songs that go with the same theme, but are catchy at the same time. I believe Josh Thompson will be releasing his new album soon.  He will also be opening up for Justin Moore’s first headlining tour next year. So if you go to Justin’s show, be sure to get there early and hear Josh Thompson perfom.
