EXPERIENCE ONE OF THE LARGEST ASIAN LANTERN EVENTS AT JACKSONVILLE ZOO AND GARDENS THIS WINTER

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (November 1, 2023) — Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is set to host one of the
largest Asian lantern events in the country this winter. Colors of the Wild, presented by
Community First Credit Union, is an all-new ZOOLights experience beginning November 19 and
running select nights through February.
The Zoo will illuminate with more than 70 vibrant scenes consisting of authentic, custom-made
silk Chinese lanterns. Produced in partnership with Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc. the event sets
out to reveal the power of creativity, the beauty of wildlife and wild places and the joy of
coming together to celebrate diverse cultures.

As daylight fades, the delicate glow takes on life as animals and plants. Visitors can expect one-
of-a-kind lantern installations intricately constructed featuring fauna and flora, picturesque

pathways, traditional Chinese mythologies, interactive displays and more.
From December 14-24 and 26-31, Colors of the Wild will run every night featuring themed
entertainment, visits from Santa Claus and other festive traditions.
This nighttime event starts after the Zoo closes at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m. Tickets start
at $20 for Zoo Members and $25 for non-Members. Combination tickets are also available
starting at $35, which includes same-day access to the Zoo starting at 3 p.m. Zoo Members will
receive an exclusive, discounted sneak peek on November 17 before the event opens to the
general public. Children ages 2 and under are free. Tickets must be purchased online at
