Disney Announces Opening Date For ‘Toy Story Land’ At Disney World
Woody, Buzz, Jessie and their friends will come to life at Walt Disney World in Florida this summer. The upcoming Toy Story Land will officially open to guests on June 30.
The upcoming 11-acre land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will include two new attractions and a new entrance to the existing Toy Story Mania attraction.
Guests visiting Toy Story Land will “shrink” to the size of a toy and join in on the fun with Woody, Jessie, Buzz, Andy and other beloved toys in Andy’s backyard. You can also take a ride on the Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster Andy has assembled from his Mega Coaster Play Kit and topped off with Slinky and Jessie.
Guests can also take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers, a galactic play set that Andy won from Pizza Planet. Here, adorable little green aliens swirl about in their flying saucers with guests in tow in their rocket ship toys, while “The Claw” hangs overhead.
Toy Story Land is an important addition to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as they look to add guest capacity ahead of the much-anticipated Star Wars Land opening in 2019.... [Read More]

The Jaguars' Home Stadium Will Have A New Name Next Season
EverBank Field will be known as TIAA Bank Field later this year. They team confirmed today that TIAA Bank Field will be the official name of its home stadium, replacing EverBank Field.
The name change comes after the sale of EverBank to TIAA in June and the new parent company will be renaming all EverBank locations as TIAA Bank.
The name change must be officially approved by the city of Jacksonville and the Jaguars before they can tear down the signage on the front of the building and replace it with the new name.
Even though the name change was announced today, there were no details immediately available about who will be paying to change the signage. It is expected that the name change will be made by the upcoming Jaguars preseason.
Jacksonville-based EverBank acquired the naming rights to the stadium in 2010, four years after the naming rights deal with Alltel lapsed. (The stadium was known as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in the interim.) In 2014, the company extended its naming rights deal through 2024.... [Read More]

After gaining a foothold in the contemporary Christian music scene, Switchfoot went mainstream with 2003's The Beautiful Letdown, a double-platinum album that straddled the line between sacred and secular rock music. This album included the hits “Meant to Live” and Dare You to Move.” Switchfoot returned in September 2005 with their fifth album, Nothing Is Sound, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. Nothing Is Sound went gold, sparked another radio hit in "Stars," and was the first Switchfoot recording to include the work of additional guitarist Andrew Shirley (formerly a member of the contemporary Christian group All Together Separate). Boating In Jacksonville
Jacksonville Fl - Florida has long been recognized as the Sunshine state but it could just as easily be known as the Coastline state. No matter where you live in Florida, you are never very far from the water. Certainly, people have been flocking to Florida for generations to take advantage of the legendary beaches and warm sunshine.
The unanswered question: How many people who live in the Sunshine state fail to take advantage of the abundant, magnificent waterways? The statistics are striking: The Florida coastline, at 1,350 miles, dwarfs the coastline of California, at 840 miles. Of course, when it comes to enjoying Florida’s waterways, the coastline is only part of the story. In addition to numerous lakes and rivers, Florida’s Intercoastal traverses the entire eastern coast. To live in Florida and never go out on boat would be like living in Vermont and never viewing the fall leaves or living in Maine and never eating a lobster. Nothing but a missed opportunity.
When is the last time you enjoyed an afternoon out on Florida’s beautiful waterways? What is stopping you? In many ways, modern technology and improved equipment are revolutionizing boating, making it easier and safer than ever. More women have taken up boa... [Read More]

Putting Safety First Out On The Water
The most enjoyable days out on the water always require a little preparation.
An otherwise perfect day of boating can be quickly short-circuited if you didn’t bring enough food, beverages, or ice. Virtually all recreational boaters are familiar with that punched-in-the-gut feeling of being out on the water and realizing they forgot something essential.
Of course, some forgotten items – like a favorite pair of sunglasses – are simply an annoyance. Others are more serious. Before you begin gathering all your favorite snacks, drinks and assorted boating accessories and toys, be sure to plan for safety first. No amount of fun in the sun is worth taking an unnecessary risk.
Before you begin your day on the water, it is important to know every person who will be on your boat and know for certain that you have a properly fitting life jacket. If you realize at the last moment that you do not, before you rush out to buy one, check to see if a nearby marina is participating in the BoatU.S. Foundation’s “Life Jacket Loaner Program for Kids.” It can save not only time but money.Freedom Boat Club at the Julington Creek Marina 12807 San Jose Blvd is a site for Life Jacket Loaner program.
