Ice Cream, donuts, shaved ice, what more could you get for desert. All around northeast Florida, Jacksonville and St. Augustine have a lot of good places for sweet treats. We've put together a list of our favorite places for you to get your sweet tooth on.
Ohana Shaved Ice
Born from a Hawaiian tradition of combining soft fluffy ice with daring flavors, OHANA’s Shaved Ice is like no other. Our more than 100 house made flavors do not compare to no others. Established in Atlantic Beach for more than 10 years.
Sweet Spot - St. Augustine
The Sweet Spot is an ice cream shop on St. George Street featuring 40 flavors of ice cream for sweet-lovers. They offer ice cream plain, in a cup, in cones, with toppings, and in milkshakes and soda floats.
In addition, they offer a number of other tasty treats such as egg-free cookie dough, macaroons, and fudge — as well as salty snacks and soft drinks.
904 Churros - St. Augustine
904 Churros is St. Augustine’s first churrería. Located in Riverside Center at the corner of 312 and Dixie Highway, their specialty is fresh, handcrafted churros, which is a traditional Spanish and Mexican fried dough served a variety of ways.Churros can be filled, churros can be made in a loop; they can be covered in chocolate, sugar, cinnamon sugar, or other toppings. Churros are great with ice cream, so 904 Churros offers a variety of ice cream flavors and churro combos.
Cousteau’s Waffle & Milkshake - St. Augustine
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Saint Augustine, Cousteau's offers Belgian Liege Waffles and Hand-Spun Milkshakes. Our sweet and chewy waffles are made in-house from dough filled with Belgian pearl sugar, then cooked and caramelized fresh to order on our hot cast iron press.Our rich, thick milkshakes start with dense housemade soft-serve ice cream, then get blended with a whole range of homemade goodies and topped with fresh whipped cream.

Sweet Theory Baking Co.
We’ve been making treats and slinging dough in our little shop on King St in Riverside since 2012. We make/bake all of our items fresh daily, by hand, in smaller (ish) batches, favoring all natural and organic ingredients. Daily offerings include cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, biscuit sandwiches, our gluten free items include coffee cakes, cupcakes, brownies/brownie bites, cookies, loaf cakes, and maybe some whoopie cakes or a cake by the slice if we’re feeling it.

At The Mini Bar, our donuts are about a third of the size of a regular donut. This means you get to try more flavors each visit!
Good Dough
Their doughnuts are handmade from scratch in small batches. They use real, high quality ingredients with a focus on exceptional local ingredients in our recipes—from our signature doughs to our glazes and fillings. And for you foodies out there…their house raised doughnut is a brioche style yeast dough. It's springy but also rich, buttery and tender with a slight chew! Now we need a doughnut.
Donut Shoppe
The Donut Shoppe has been open since 1962 and is currently owned by David Unkelbach. They have 21 varieties of donuts.
Whits
With a new flavor every single day, Whit's always has something new in store. Plus they offer quarts of your favorite flavor to take home, classic flavors everyday like vanilla and chocolate, and a special ice cream treat for your pup.
Sweet Pete's Candy Shop
From Shark Attack Snack blue floats to Pumpkin Spice Latte Milkshakes and Cactus PEZ sundaes, you won't want to miss these fun and tasty limited edition treats! If Ice Cream is not your thing, you're inside a candy store- you'll find something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Dreamette
Dreamette has been serving the Jacksonville community since 1948! They are most notably known for having the greatest banana split and huge piles of ice cream! Make sure to bring cash because they are cash only.
Kilwins
Kilwins has tons of yummy ice cream flavors everyday! Plus, Kilwins has tons of fudge, chocolate, candy apples, caramels, chocolate pretzels and other sweet treats.

5fx Ice Cream
5fx is an experience, and delicious. First you pick your cream base and then they freeze, chop, and roll your ice cream right infront of you. It's fully customisable and there is something for everyone!
Rita’s
Rita's has both Italian ice and custard. If you can't decide between the two- get both in one with a Gelati. Theres 50 flavors of ice and over 15 flavors of custard. The combinations are essentially endless, and delicious!
Brusters
Brusters has over 150 flavors of ice cream- including seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake, Peaches 'n Cream, Deep Dish Apple Pie, and Winter Wonder. There are also a ton of sugar free flavors! Each location offers at least 24 flavors fresh flavors daily, so keep checking in thru the year for more.
Cold Stone Creamery
Cakes, Sundaes, and of course your own custom creation. Cold Stone never disappoints. They utilize a cold slab so your toppings can be mixed in on the spot to create your own flavor.
Sweet Frog
This ones for you froyo fans! Sweet Frog is the ultimate frozen yogurt experience. First pick your flavor, then load it up with any, and every topping imaginable.
Hyppo Pops
Looking for a cool treat? Look no further than Hyppo for hand made, all natural, ice pops full of unique flavor combinations. If you cant make it out to the store- pick some up at your local Publix.

Jeremiah's Italian Ice
Ice cream and Italian ice is a combination that just hits right. With over 40 flavors of Italian ice there is something that you are bound to love. For the ultimate treat, grab a Gelati, that has both ice cream and Italian ice in layers.
Peterbrooke Chocolatier
Grab some chocolate strawberries and gelato all in the same visit! Peterbrooke offers between 18-24 flavors of Italian gelato every day. You can choose to have your gelato in a cup, waffle cone, milkshake, or in one of the brand new Bubble Waffles.
