Winterland Music Outreach Foundation Presents Sixth Annual Music Festival

Winterland Six brings headliners like the Osees, Blonde Redhead, Caroline Rose and many more to Downtown Jacksonville

Feb. 7, 2024 — JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winterland Six will soon return to Downtown Jacksonville, now for the first time in James Weldon Johnson Park. The mixed-genre music festival will take place Friday, February 23 through Sunday, February 25, 2024.

National headliners like the Osees, Blonde Redhead and Caroline Rose will rock the mainstage throughout the weekend, with a mix of local favorites like Bebe Deluxe, Coyboi, Ebony Payne English, national rising stars like Wombo, Isaiah Collier, Ava Mendoza and many more. Festival goers will hear a variety of music from psychedelic rock to jazz, post-punk to hip-hop and everything in between.

Winterland was established by a local group of working-class artists eager for equality and sustainability within the music industry. Glenn Michael Van Dyke, Lena Simon and Matt Shaw of Kairos Creature Club, along with a committed team of volunteers, hosted the inaugural festival in January 2018 at the former Space Gallery next door to the Florida Theatre. Since then, the festival has grown into an all-encompassing arts celebration with local arts and food vendors, live demonstrations and visual art installations.

“Being a part of the growing arts and culture scene here in Jacksonville is both inspiring and challenging,” says Winterland co-founder and musician, Glenn Michael Van Dyke. “We want to cultivate an environment where artists can flourish and share their music, but also ensure that this city is a place their careers can blossom.”

The festival is just one way the Winterland Music Outreach Foundation invests in the arts economy. The organization is also working to establish an artist residency program, a record label and has plans to bring more concerts and educational opportunities for musicians and music lovers in Jacksonville. For a full list of vendors and food trucks, follow @winterlandpresents on social media to stay up-to-date on festival programming and scheduling.

Winterland Six is presented by the City of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Music Experience, the music discovery platform of WJCT Public Media, and the Jessie Ball duPont Fund and sponsored in part by PBR, All About Events, Wingard and Purehoney Magazine.

Single-day access and full weekend passes are available for purchase. These passes include access to all mainstage performances, bars, bathrooms and activations. Limited activities are free and open to the public along the festival’s perimeter. To purchase tickets, visit winterlandpresents.org/winterland-six-2024.
