The holidays are here and Jekyll Island is one of our Top Holiday Road Trip Destinations to visit! Jekyll Island is located a little over an hour away from Jacksonville. The island is one of four barrier islands accessible by car off the coast of Georgia, but unlike any other. Although it’s technically a state park, while there you will feel like you’ve been transported to a resort town- it's truly the ultimate beach retreat.

This year, the island is transforming into a winter wonderland with over a half million lights, holiday events and so much more! Make plans to bring the family up for their Holly Jolly Light Tours where you can see 500,000+ lights, Drive-in movies where guests can watch and listen to the movie all from the safety and comfort of their vehicles, their island wide Holly Jolly Jekyll Parade, and the transformation of their Mini-Golf into Peppermint Land where guests can play under the lights, surrounded by life-sized gumdrops, candy canes, gingerbread men, and more! Below are just some of the activities and events happening during the Holly Jolly Jekyll season, November 27-January 3, only on Jekyll Island!
