We have plenty of light displays and places to shop. Run Santa Run 5k

When: 12/18

Where: Klutho Park

The one mile and 5K courses are lined with Christmas lights, inflatables, and music. Runners and walkers start from Santa’s lighted Runway and run through Candy Cane Land, Hershey Kiss Kingdom, Winter Wonderland, Snowman’s Paradise, Rudolph’s Run, and finish under Santa Bowlegs in a snow blizzard. This 5K is run after dark so that participants can enjoy the full effect of the Christmas lights.

Basilica Lights

When: 12/10-26 Thursday through Sunday

For three weekends before Christmas – December 10-26, Thursday through Sunday, an incredible Light Art & Sound Installation will take place on one of the Cathedral District’s Historic Churches! This visual marvel light installation will be projected onto the façade of a church. Enjoy the spectacular beauty of the show accompanied by recorded performances of the Cathedral District Church musicians, the Jacksonville Symphony, and the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus.

Light show repeats every 15 minutes.

Brought to you by Cathedral District Jax, Inc. the Basilica Lights is presented by Sight & Sound, with thanks to the Castano Group and for generously offering this Christmas Light Art Installation as a high point for LET THERE BE LIGHT! This is the third year for this FREE EVENT is brought to you by the Cathedral District – Jax, Inc.

Dazzling Nights

Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens will transform into a magical wonderland this holiday season featuring a million dazzling lights, shining forests, magical displays and beautiful sculptures during “Dazzling Nights™”, a family friendly adventure that gives guests the opportunity to embark on a three-quarter-mile interactive holiday experience taking place November 19-January 9, 2022.

Lighthouse Illuminations

When: 11/21/21 - 1/22/22

Discover twenty-one uniquely decorated trees, each with a distinct theme during this special after hours event. Explore the Keepers’ house and grounds illuminated by lights and garlands, and enjoy a sensational view of the lighthouse’s night mark. Please reference the website for availability. Tickets are $19.95 for adults, $17.95 for children ages 12 and under.

 

Deck the Chairs

When: opening 11/24

Jacksonville Beach Deck The Chairs (JBDTC) is an annual lighted sculptural exhibit using lifeguard chairs. Marking its seventh year in community service, JBDTC gathers community to decorate and display the Beaches lifeguard chairs during the month of December to promote local business, instill public pride, and share cultural diversity through creative expression. Free and open to the public, the light display aims to provide a wholesome and festive downtown during the holidays.

Light up the Beach!

Enjoy colorful light displays along A1A Beach Boulevard and St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park as the St. Augustine Beach LIGHTS UP THE BEACH this 2021 holiday season. The event takes place each evening through January 1, 2022.

The 28th Annual Nights of Lights dazzles with more than 3 million lights adorning every corner of the historic district for two months.

This award-winning holiday lights display runs from November 20, 2021, to January 31, 2022, in historic St. Augustine. During the seasonal display, businesses downtown stay open later, letting you dine in view of the lights and browse the shops of the decorated buildings.

Blackhawk Bluff is a sight to see during the holidays. It is right off of Girvin. Neighbors come together to create a beautiful light display. Play some music and drive through to see the holiday magic.

Zoo Lights

ZOOLights, a fantastical holiday light experience set to transform Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, will take guests on a magical journey of the artistry of lights, sound, and nature itself. During this nightly event, the animals settle down for their long winter’s nap, while the lights take center stage.

From our daytime magic into a winter wonderland, ZOOLights will immerse guests in a joyous multimedia light and musical experience. The season will come alive through different zones combined with twinkling replicas of zoo animals, strolling performers, carolers, hot chocolate, s'mores, and ever-warming adult beverages.

Noche de Navidad and Las Posadas

Celebrate Las Posadas commemorates the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem at Mission Nombre De Dios. Each evening from 5 to 10 p.m. there will be five tours for Las Posadas and two performances of the Living Nativity and Eucharistic Adoration. Eucharistic Adoration is not a performance, people will come and go during the time it is open. Admission is free.

Venardo's Circus at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes back the Venardos Circus! Created by former Ringling Bros. Ringmaster Kevin Venardos, the Venardos Circus wraps world-class circus acts into a Broadway Musical-style format that is called “the American Circus with the heart of a Broadway Show.” Shows run Wednesday through Sunday for the entire engagement, with multiple show times on weekends.

Enjoy the fireworks from multiple locations at this year's Fireworks & Beach Blvd. Block Party! This community-based celebration, offers a true taste of St. Augustine Beach. Stay the weekend or enjoy a night out with the family or friends. The block party takes place at businesses along A1A Beach Blvd. The block party is happening all day with businesses along the Blvd offering discounts, live music and other specials, fireworks start at 8:30 p.m.
