OVER THE WEEKEND

The USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) returned to Jacksonville after an 8-month deployment. Welcome home Sailors!

After an 8-month journey overseas, USS The Sullivans has officially returned to Naval Station Mayport — wrapping up a deployment that included critical missions in the Red Sea.
The ship covered more than 60,000 nautical miles, made stops in 18 different ports, and teamed up with NATO partners throughout the Navy’s 5th and 6th Fleet regions — standing strong for global security and freedom of navigation.

This marks their fifth deployment in three years, and the Bold City is proud to welcome them home. Huge thanks to the crew and their families for all you do — your service and sacrifice means the world.
