Thrasher-Horne Center presents First Coast Plein Air Painters art exhibit: “Scene Through Our Eyes.” First Coast Plein Air Painters embrace the natural sunlight of open-air studio paintings within a landscape. They paint along coastal shorelines, natural preserves, farms, architecture and historical locations. The outdoor painting constitutes their vision of nature in the natural light. While some members embrace a more traditional approach and classical fashion in painting, others will have a tendency for a more modern vision of outdoor paintings.

This exhibit includes 70 entered pieces, 65 of which will be judged by Barbara Oritz, an award winning-artist. There will be a First, Second and Third Place winner, along with four honorable mentions. Two artists will have the opportunity to speak about their winning artwork.

All gallery artwork is for sale and available to purchase through Thrasher-Horne Center ticket office unless marked otherwise. “Scene Through Our Eyes” is currently open for viewing at Thrasher-Horne Center Art Gallery, Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, until December 10, 2021.

This event is FREE to the public. The Thrasher-Horne Center is an event center owned and operated by St. Johns River State College. It is located on the Orange Park campus at 283 College Drive in Orange Park, Florida.
