The Ultimate Brunch Guide for the 904

Brunchin’ and crushin’ on all the incredible restaurants found in the 904 area.  We broke down some of our favorite brunch spots by area, so you can find the perfect fit for you and your brunch dates.  Here is the ultimate brunch guide for the 904 area.

Downtown

Estrella

Rooftop alert!  Estrella is one of the newbies in town, but will make you think they have been doing this forever with how good it is.  Their Mexican-style meals will be the perfect addition to any brunch date.  This tends to be a busy spot at the moment, so we recommend making a reservation.  Only on Sundays.

The District:

In the Springfield area of downtown, the district hides away a little oasis in its back-patio area.  Reserve a yurt or one of their newer geoglobes to enjoy some mimosa towers and brunch specials. Bottomless mimosas offered.  Only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Uptown Kitchen & Bar

Breakfast served all day? Yes please.  Get yourself a mimosa bucket or Bloody Good Mary and enjoy a little brunch action at Uptown Kitchen & Bar.  Their lunch and breakfast menu are superb and will have you leaving with a happy tummy.  Closed Mondays.

1748 Bakehouse

The cutest, little location is 1748 Bakehouse.  Their food is delicious, clean, and refreshing.  This spot is great if you want a more relaxed coffee shop feel.  Closed Mondays.

Maple Street Biscuit Company

Who doesn’t love a good biscuit?  Maple Street is biscuits on steroids.  These biscuits are loaded to the brim with deliciousness.  They are in the downtown section of this article, but they also have locations all over the 904.

JAX Beaches

Brunch Haus

Brunch every day!  You can get all the brunch classics at Brunch Haus.  I mean, it is in its name, so it has to be good.  Not to mention that they have a wide selection of vegan options. Closed Tuesdays.

Tulua Bistro

Two words: brunch charcuterie.  Enough said, right?  You will never leave Tulua Bistro hungry especially if you and your gang opt for one of their overflowing brunch boards. Closed Wednesdays.

Florida Cracker Kitchen

The Florida Cracker Kitchen takes southern food to the next level.  Their 10,000 Island Shrimp & Grits truly makes a memorable impression on you in the best way possible.  Not to mention all the other delicious classics they offer daily. Closed Mondays.

Another Broken Egg Café

Riverside/Avondale

River and Post

River and Post has one of the best brunches in JAX.  The food is exquisite and the service is even better.  Make a day out of it, too, and after brunch go up to their rooftop for some more cocktails and views. If in St. Augustine, check out their new River and Fort location also. Only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Southern Grounds

Southern Grounds is the perfect place for any vibe you are looking for.  Taking your friends for brunch or just needing some sustenance while working on your laptop?  They appeal to both crowds.  Their menu has something for everyone, and the coffee is out of this world.

Fox Restaurant

If you’re looking for something with a lot of personality, look no further.  Fox Restaurant is equal parts fun and trendy.  Not to mention their food is “foxy” and fresh.

Black Sheep

Modern dishes with an upscale ambiance are offered at Black Sheep.  Their food never disappoints, and their brunch is a modern twist on classic favorites.  Only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Iguana on Park

Brunch with a little kick is Iguana on Park.  Their Latin-infused dishes are a refreshing change of pace.  Their colorful flavors will have you running back for more. Only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Prospect

Cute and intimate are the perfect adjectives to describe Prospect.  Their brunch offers a variety of mimosas including a beermosa and tequilosa.  Their food is both fun and elegant with items like Breakfast Burgers.  Only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

St. Augustine

Ice Plant

Ice Plant stands strong as a favorite in St. Augustine and never seems to budge.  Their drinks are arguably some of the best in town and change seasonally.  Their food is the definition of farm to table with how fresh and local it all is.  Ice Plant is never a disappointment. Only on Satudays and Sundays.

Blue Hen

This is a little locals’ best kept secret we’re letting you in on.  Blue Hen has been a staple in the Lincolnville area of St. Augustine for years.  They have also mastered the art of mimosas with a dash of orange juice and the rest champagne. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Roosevelt Room

Transport back in time by having brunch at the Roosevelt Room on St. George.  Prohibition Kitchen’s little brother has lived up to the hype and dished out some amazing brunch options.  I’ll let you in on a little secret: the Brulee French Toast is to die for.

Sunday

Add a little sunshine to your day by going to Sunday.  This spot really has mastered the good vibes with their décor, food, and service. They are literally made for brunch. You can’t leave Sunday in a bad mood, especially after eating some of their sourdough. Closed Mondays.

Café Eleven

STA beach holds the best breakfast buffet.  Yes, you heard that right, BUFFET.  All you can eat brunch buffet at Café Eleven is well worth it.  Not to mention they have half priced sangria and mimosas with the purchase of the buffet.  Only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Mandarin/St. Johns Area

Grumpy’s

Grumpy’s will make you feel like you woke up after sleeping over at your grandparent’s house.  The food is equal parts delicious and comforting.
