ST. AUGUSTINE SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL RETURNS WITH A LINEUP OF CHART-TOPPING HITMAKERS FROM SEPTEMBER 27 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 29

St. Augustine, FL (June 14, 2024) – In partnership with Sing Out Loud Festival and Bozard Ford Lincoln,  the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival will return to historic downtown St. Augustine from September 27 to September 29 with an unprecedented group of award-winning singer-songwriters. The St. Augustine  Songwriters Festival offers music lovers an intimate look into the creative processes and inspiring stories  behind the hits penned by some of the music industry's leading songwriters. 
 

This year's Songwriters Festival will feature over 30 artists whose works have reached the pinnacle of  the charts and numerous accolades. Artists such as Brett James, who has had more than 800 of his  songs recorded by some of the biggest artists in the world including Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Jason  Aldean and more. His hit “Jesus, Take the Wheel” won a Grammy in 2006 and he was named ASCAP’s  country songwriter of the year in 2006 and 2010; Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Famer Rivers Rutherford whose name is on #1 songs by Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton and other country super stars;  multiple Grammy award-winning songwriter and frequent collaborator of Taylor Swift Liz Rose; the  beloved Gretchen Peters whose has accumulated accolades as a songwriter for artists as diverse as Etta  James, Bonnie Raitt, The Neville Brothers, George Strait, Faith Hill and more; and hitmaker Matt  Dragstrem who has written #1 hits including “I’ll Name The Dogs” (Blake Shelton), “One Margarita (Luke  Bryan), “You Look Like I Need A Drink” (Justin Moore) and “Sippin’ On Fire” (Florida Georgia Line).  
 

"We’ve brought together some of the most prolific and talented songwriters in the music industry for  this year's festival," said Arlis Albritton, St. Augustine Songwriters Festival Organizer. "Not only will  attendees get to experience these musicians performing their hit songs, but they will also gain insight  into the profound stories and creative processes behind their work. Each songwriter brings a unique  narrative and approach to their craft, making this festival a true celebration of musical storytelling." 
Between Friday, September 27 and Sunday, September 29, over 70 performances will take place at  multiple venues including the Colonial Oak Music Park, Prohibition Kitchen, Tradewinds Lounge, and The  St. Augustine Distillery. All events are free and open to the public.  
 

The St. Augustine Songwriters Festival is presented by Sing Out Loud Festival and Bozard Ford Lincoln,  with support by St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum, Old Town Trolley Tours, Chris Lucero Bail  Bonds, Tibbs Tees, St. George Inn, Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront, VHM, and Holiday Inn.
