The Fourth of July Fireworks event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 4, 2021.  Plan on having a great time outdoors, practice social distancing, and you’re encouraged to wear a mask if you plan on spending time indoors this holiday.

Schedule of Events

Concert: The “Fireworks Over the Matanzas” festivities start at 6 p.m. with the popular local band, The All-Star Orchestra, performing a two-hour show of big band and swing music along with patriotic favorites. The free concert is taking place at the Plaza de la Constitucion in the center of the Historic District and open to the public. Bring a chair if you’d like to relax and have a seat.

Fireworks: Then, get ready to be dazzled by 5,000 individual shells exploding as high as 2,000 feet and as low as 100 feet. The breathtaking display, one of the biggest and best on the East Coast, starts at 9:30 p.m.

Parking & Logistics

Keep in mind that there will be no shuttle service or satellite parking this year and there will be some road closures starting at 8:30 until 10:30, so plan to arrive early for a cool drink at a local hot spot or enjoy a delightful meal at one of our many outdoor restaurants. Parking is available at the Historic Downtown Parking Garage behind the Visitor Information Center.
