Anniversary celebration caps a remarkable first year of performances, international recognition, and meaningful community programming.

Ponte Vedra, FL (August 6, 2026) – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its reopening with the Front & Center Music Showcase, a free evening of live music presented by Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Saturday, August 29. Admission is free, but tickets must be claimed in advance online at www.pvconcerthall.com/events/detail/front-center-showcase.

Featuring performances by Red Magnolia, Lauren Woodall, and Freddie Caicos and the Sunburns, the Front & Center Music Showcase celebrates the creativity and talent of Northeast Florida’s music community while giving local musicians the opportunity to perform in one of Florida’s premier live music venues.

Red Magnolia brings a soulful blend of psychedelic Southern rock, pairing heartfelt lyrics with blues-driven guitar, Hammond organ, and vintage-inspired rhythms. Singer-songwriter Lauren Woodall blends alternative country and indie rock with emotionally resonant, stream-of-consciousness lyrics, earning appearances at festivals and showcases across the United States and internationally. Freddie Caicos and the Sunburns deliver “Bluewater Country” – weathered, coastal songs inspired by long days offshore and life along Florida’s rugged shoreline.

Internationally recognized by the 2026 MONDO-DR Awards for excellence in audio, acoustics, lighting, and venue technology, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall was the only venue in the Americas to receive this prestigious distinction. Through the Front & Center Music Showcase, local musicians will have the opportunity to perform on the same stage – and be heard through the same world-class sound system – as internationally renowned artists including Graham Nash, Melissa Etheridge, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, and hundreds more who have performed at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

The Front & Center Music Showcase is one of two free signature community programs commemorating the first anniversary of the Concert Hall’s reopening and was created to show appreciation for the community whose enthusiasm and support have contributed to the venue’s success. The anniversary programming also includes the Stage to Screen Film Series, presented by Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The free series features four iconic concert films shown on the venue’s big screen: Stop Making Sense on August 7 and 8, The Last Waltz on August 14 and 15, Shine a Light on August 21 and 22, and Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert on August 28.

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall reopened on August 1, 2025, following the completion of a transformative $12.9 million renovation. The reimagining introduced expanded seating, improved sightlines, upgraded lighting and production capabilities, an advanced L-Acoustics sound system, new outdoor terraces, an expanded lobby, modernized artist and guest amenities, and an elevated food and beverage program.

In its first year since reopening, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has hosted more than 120 performances and welcomed over 67,000 guests from all 50 states and Canada. The venue has presented an eclectic lineup of legendary performers, acclaimed artists, and emerging voices, including Lyle Lovett, Judy Collins, Phantogram, Niko Moon, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, and more.

The Concert Hall also debuted the Sounds of Sawgrass Series in partnership with THE PLAYERS Championship, earned international recognition through the 2026 MONDO-DR Awards, expanded community programming through Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, and continued elevating the overall guest experience through ongoing investments in hospitality, culinary offerings and venue amenities.

The past year also marked a significant expansion of the Concert Hall's community impact through its partnership with Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Working alongside Florida State University College of Music professors and PhD students, Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall successfully launched the Music Enrichment Program at multiple sites throughout St. Johns County. The program provides free weekly music enrichment sessions led by board-certified music therapists, creating opportunities for musical expression, confidence, connection, and emotional well-being. Ponte Vedra Concert Hall also introduced an elevated food and beverage program under the leadership of Food & Beverage Director Edwin Baltzley, bringing Michelin-recognized culinary experience to the venue. The enhanced menu features thoughtfully curated food and beverage offerings inspired by local flavors and designed to complement the live music experience.
