Jacksonville, Fla. (July 26th, 2021) — Real Time Entertainment & Management announced today a free, two-day event that aims to educate attendees about sharks and how we can better understand their place on Earth within the ocean’s ecosystems. Florida Fin Fest, an Ocean Education + Music Festival is the first of its kind. Free to attend, there will be activities for all ages including an educational village with hands-on learning experiences, live music, a festival village focusing on sustainability, food trucks, and more.

The event features national headliners Blue Öyster Cult and Badfish: Tribute to Sublime along with support from regional favorites Honey Hounds, The Band Be Easy, Chillula, Papa Rosko, Dirty Snowman Society and many more.

“After years of planning and development, we’re extremely excited to bring this event to Jacksonville Beach. This is a great opportunity to provide a hands-on learning experience for our community to better protect our local waterways and wildlife while enjoying an elevated festival experience. We look forward to building this event with the Jacksonville community,” remarked founder of Real Time Entertainment & Management, Niko Costas.

“OCEARCH at Jacksonville University is excited to participate with the inaugural Florida Fin Festival, a music festival with a purpose. We look forward to offering educational opportunities to attendees. The last several years have seen increasing environmental issues emerging that require our attention. What better way to do it that combines music, fun and information about what you can do to help?” said Executive Director, Marine Science Research Institute of Jacksonville University, A. Quinton White, Jr., Ph.D.

Additional partners for the Florida Fin Festival include: Open Water, The Local Neptune Beach, J. Cage Winery, 904HappyHour, Jacksonville Business Journal, iHeartMedia, Blue Jay Listening Room, Coastal MERA, Sharks4Kids, Seashepherd, Ecoeclectic, and more.
