This September, the Home Team is asking Jacksonville to join them in observing National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Buildings in downtown Jacksonville will be lighted gold, supporting the mission of the Home Team, and reminding the community to “Go Gold” for the goal of ending pediatric cancer for children everywhere.

The Home Team is comprised of area medical experts from Nemours Children's Health System, Wolfson Children's Hospital and UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, alongside area nonprofits whose mission it is to support these affected families: Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, Child Cancer Fund, Dreams Come True and Ronald McDonald House. Together, the mission of the Home Team is not only to provide the area's best medical resources to fight pediatric cancer, but to also help support the children and their families emotionally, psychologically and financially. Because of the Home Team, more than 95% of all children diagnosed with cancer in our area can receive the care and services they need right here close to home.
